Sherri Carrera
Sherri Lynn Carrera is a seasoned economic development professional with over 30 years of experience driving growth and innovation across Rhode Island’s public and private sectors. Known for her collaborative leadership and strategic insight, she has built a career around empowering small businesses, streamlining regulatory processes, and managing high-impact projects. As a media and communications specialist in the private sector, Sherri has strengthened client relationships, led successful marketing campaigns, and expanded organizational reach. Her public service includes key roles at Rhode Island Commerce Corporation and the Office of Regulatory Reform, where she championed business-friendly initiatives and coordinated logistics for international events like the America’s Cup and Volvo Ocean Race. A Disney-trained customer service expert, Sherri combines creativity, organization, and dedication to community service, including volunteer leadership with Junior Achievement of Rhode Island and the RI Military Organization. She volunteers with RIMO maintaining the organization’s website and creating marketing collateral to elevate RIMO’s mission and community outreach.
Coming from a proud military family [her father Vincent Centracchio served in the US Army and her uncle is former Adjutant General for RI, Lt. General [retired] Reggie Centracchio], Sherri has a deep-rooted passion for supporting service members and veterans. She is engaged to Joe Roberts a US Navy Veteran and a board member of the Rhode Island Military Organization (RIMO), further strengthening her commitment to the military community. She lives with Joe and their dog, Chico in Warwick.
